Introducing the Zoho Calendar Plugin for Microsoft Outlook

Launching today is the
Zoho Calendar Plugin for Microsoft Outlook. As more and more of the work gets done on the web, it becomes necessary for the mobile worker
in you to access all the scheduled appointments and events from where ever you are.
Having your Outlook calendar in sync with a web service like Zoho
Calendar should make things easier for you. And that’s what this plugin helps
achieve.

The salient features include

  • Two-way sync between Microsoft Outlook and Zoho Calendar
  • Syncing multiple Outlook calendars with Zoho

  • Quick import of a large number of events from your present Outlook calendar(s)

  1. your wrong, Zoho Calendar is not given any preference. The latest operation(add/edit/delete) done at one tool will be updated to the another.

    It can be Outlook to Zoho calendar or vice versa, only updated time counts.

  2. the sync is supposed to 2-way.

    however, after syncing both calendars i
    accidentally deleted one event from zohocalendar
    (that was still in outlook).

    when i went to re-sync to get the event back into
    zoho calendar, it instead disappeared from
    outlook.

    looks like zoho events take precedence.

    how is it 2-way then?

    2-way is supposed to restore what’s missing in
    one, NOT delete what’s not in the other.

  3. We are enhancing the plug-in to support Outlook 2010, and hopefully it will be available soon. We will keep you posted on our progress. It is your expectation that keeps us going, and we welcome your suggestions on Zoho calendar.

  5. I have been trying to sync with Outlook and it is still showing the window Starting Synchronization.
    It’s been at least 45 minutes. Help!

  6. What I want and need is that Zoho calendar…accept via Zoho email …calendar and GoToMeeting invites to populate the Zoho calendar…I want to get OFF OF OUTLOOK, not integrate to it. That’s the whole idea of having cloud computing ….or am i missing something here?

  8. Zoho Calendar Plugin for Microsoft Outlook does not require administrative privilege. Its a plugin to sync your Outlook client with Zoho Calendar.All you need is a Zoho account.

  9. one shouldn’t need administrative priviliges to install the plug-in, most of the people using it in offices will never have that privilege.

    the Google plug-in doesn’t require admin access to install the plugin.
    I think you can do that too. It will be a worthwhile development.
