InfoLogic's MathMagic adds support for Zoho Writer equations

InfoLogic's MathMagic is a desktop based equation editor software. Its latest version 6.8 for Mac users has introduced a special menu item for Zoho Writer. MathMagic can now be used as a front-end equation editor by Zoho Writer users (Zoho Writer has allowed writing of LaTeX equations since May 2008). Whether or not you are fluent in LaTeX, you can now write mathematical equations and symbols using MathMagic easily and fast, then simply copy-paste it into Zoho Writer's Equation Editor window. LaTeX expressions from Zoho Writer's Equation Editor can also be copy-pasted into MathMagic window to edit the equation on a WYSIWYG interface.


InfoLogic says MathMagic's Windows version will also support "Copy as Zoho equation" in the near future. We believe this new menu will help both MathMagic & Zoho Writer users.

Zoho Wiki Update : Auto Backup, LaTeX Equation Editor, Bulk Page Operations & more

Zoho Wiki has been offering a zipped backup option of all your wiki pages for quite sometime now. And this got better with this update. You now have the option to set an automatically scheduled backup everyday. Click on the Settings link and you'll find the URL in the BackUp section.

You need to copy the URL marked in the image and add it to your 'Scheduled Tasks' in Windows or run it as a cronjob in Linux. Your wiki pages will be backed up regularly at the said time (11 pm to 12 am PST) everyday.

The equation editor and LaTex format support that's been present in Zoho Writer is now available in Zoho Wiki too. Students and educators will make the best use of this feature, we believe.

The last Zoho Wiki update introduced bulk comment delete. You can now do bulk page operations too. Like deleting, giving permission & copying of multiple pages.

Zoho Wiki supports re-branding of logos & re-directing to custom URLs. And a customer asked us for changing the browser favicon from the default Zoho Wiki's. This is now possible too. Click on Settings -> Customization tab and you can upload your own favicon. [Note : This feature is available for premium Zoho Wiki users only, as of now]
