Mobile apps are becoming more critical for businesses. This is evident from the fact that Zoho’s apps recently clocked 1,000,000+ downloads. Launching today, is the iPad app for Zoho Reports.
With an increasingly mobile workforce, there are often situations where business data needs to be accessed and analyzed instantly. It’s easily done with a mobile device like an iPad.
Our new mobile business intelligence app complements the web/browser view offered by Zoho Reports. It helps you track key business metrics on the go, spot trends quickly, collaborate with colleagues and arrive at informed business decisions. It lets you easily interact with the reports, as well as share and analyze data from a wide range of sources, all from your iPad.
All Zoho servers are patched, and your data is safe.
Soon after the information about this vulnerability became known, we started patching all our servers using the newer, protected versions of OpenSSL. This operation was completed in a few hours after the news broke out. We renewed our SSL certificates too. So, we are no longer vulnerable.
As of now, we have no indication that the vulnerability has been exploited against any of the Zoho applications. However, we would like you to follow these safeguards.
1. Change your Zoho account passwords immediately.
2. To be doubly safe, enable Two Factor Authentication (TFA) for your accounts.
We will update this post, as and when we have more new info about the vulnerability.
We announced Advanced Analytics for Zoho Projects a few months ago. Project teams worldwide are using it to get valuable insights about how well their projects are doing on various fronts. Today, we are glad to announce that data from the Bugs module of Zoho Projects can now be analyzed using Zoho Reports.
With this new addition, you get a good many default reports and dashboards out-of-the-box. These reports allow you to know project metrics like the number of bugs across projects, bugs based on severity assigned to each project member, estimated time of closure for bugs, and a lot more such metrics you will find great value in. More and more of your business data reside on the cloud now. For better convenience, you now sync your files online, using cloud services like Zoho Docs, Google Drive, Dropbox, Box or OneDrive. Zoho Reports now makes it easier to analyze your data files (especially spreadsheets) that are stored in such cloud storage services.
Using the new Import from Cloud Storage/Drive link, you can import files directly from other cloud services to Zoho Reports. Read more
Time and again, we come across Zoho Reports being used to analyze varied data sets. Below is a sampling of some of the recent public databases that we found interesting.
1. ARISS (Amateur Radio on the International Space Station)
I never knew that ISS was this connected with Hams, before I came across this ARISS database! Some interesting stats there, about events and contacts made by various schools with ISS, across countries.
2. Austin Real Estate
ABoR (Austin Board of Realtors) has a dashboard each for Travis County and Williamson County detailing avg list prices, foreclosure list price per zip code and types of financial transaction that were carried out.
3. IT Help Desk Stats
This is probably done by a system administrator for her IT team – a dashboard for data upload/download and computers being synced, and another dashboard that analyzes the number of support tickets raised.
4. Small Business Centre, North West Metro
A Dashboard that reports the results of a survey done over small businesses in Western Australia.
5. Ministry of Transport & Communication, Mexico
From what little I could decipher using Google Translate, each of the dashboards in this database give out the number of landslides, free passageways and damaged bridges, state-wise.
6. Traffic Accidents
This dashboard analyzes accident numbers – how many injured vs dead, males vs female motorcyclists involved in accidents, number of accidents in different age groups etc.
7. Australian Football Clubs
A dashboard made over Aussie football clubs data, and analysis of their profits.
Now, how are you using Zoho Reports? Let us know in the comments.
Happy New Year 2014 to everyone! On this new year, let’s see some of the latest features of Zoho Reports.
100% Group Bar Chart
This type of bar chart is quite useful when you have to compare each member’s contribution to the overall pie over a period of time. It’s like having a series of pie charts lined up, only better.
We announced Advanced Analytics for Zoho Projects around a month back, and it has been well received. Project managers now tap into their projects data and get good insights of what’s happening in their projects.
The Advanced Analytics package came with a wide range of ready made reports and dashboards. One such report is the Projected Revenue report. We will see how this useful report is derived. Read more
