Webinar Recap: The whys and hows of promoting webinars like a pro

Every business, regardless of size, needs to be able to reach out and communicate to its audience. Webinars are a great way to promote your product or service. To maximize their effectiveness, though, it’s crucial to have a plan. When you’re working so hard to prepare for your webinar, take some time to also think about the ways of promoting it.

We recently conducted our own webinar that walked you through the whys and hows of promoting webinars like a pro. Check out this video to learn how to drive more demand for future webinars and increase your attendees’ list.

Here’s a quick rundown of the webinar email marketing conversations we had during this webinar:

What is A/B testing?

A/B testing will allow you to send different versions of your email campaign to different segments of your audience and discover which works best.

In A/B testing, you will have to choose a campaign variable to test—like the subject line, sender’s name, or email content—and see what gets the best response from your audience. Your campaign reports will show you how recipients interacted with each version of your campaign, from which you can determine the best performing email that should go to your remaining audience. You can compare how many people opened your message and clicked on your links in each version of your campaign.

Before creating an A/B test campaign, you have to choose the size of your test audience and how long to run your test. You can set up an automatic winner selection so that the winning version can be sent to all the remaining recipients according to the open rates or the click rates (you decide which). Alternatively, you can analyze the reports manually and send the better email to the rest of the contacts in your mailing list.

How do you remove duplicates in the contact list?

The duplicates in your current contact list will automatically be removed while you are importing your contacts to a new list.

The Import Overview page in your Zoho Campaigns account contains all of your imported contacts’ details. You can view a generated report on your contacts after the import is complete. Zoho Campaigns makes it easy to view the entire history of imported contacts in a single step.

From the Import Overview page, you can view the number of newly added contacts, duplicate contacts, and ignored contacts. Just click one of the numbers to view the related contact details.

Are there any good practices that can be followed to maximize pop-up form results?

Pop-up forms can be used as an effective tool to build your email list, which can then be used to develop better customer relationships by sending out engaging email campaigns.

A few best practices that could be followed to improve the performance of your pop-up forms are:

  • Clear CTAs

Make sure to use simple and actionable calls to action (CTAs) in all your pop-up forms so visitors will understand what you want them to do and will genuinely give you their details.

  • Eye-catching design

Design is the one element that should be given extra care in all the aspects of digital marketing. Always choose pop-up templates that are relevant to the context and also pleasing to the visitor’s eye.

  • Use an exit icon

Visitors should always be able to find the exit button for any pop-up that appears on their window. This will prevent frustration.

  • Have a plan

Before even creating a pop-up form, make sure the purpose of creating it is clear to yourself. This will help you decide the flow of what happens next when visitors click on the form.
